Easy Fried Fish Fillets

June 22, 2016

Ingredients:

2T dried coriander leaves

1T ground cumin

1t ground ginger

2t garlic powder

Pinch of cayenne pepper, to your taste

1t salt

1C standard flour

1C buttermilk

Method:

1, Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.

2, Pour buttermilk into a breakfast or pasta bowl.

3, To coat fish first lay one side, then the other in the flour. Next coat in the buttermilk and then re-coat in the flour mix. Set aside for cooking.

Cooking:

Heat a frying pan on high until it reaches temperature, then turn the element down to a medium low heat. Add olive oil. You will need to keep a light covering of oil over the pan the whole time you are cooking as you don’t want to have the coating of the fish stick to the pan or dry out.

The cooking time for fish will vary depending on the thickness of your fish fillet. What you need to watch for is the meat turning white if you are unsure.

Serve with your choice of vegetables.
